  5. ***How to use: You must be running version 1.19p or 1.20 (Cov. Ops) to 
  6. use this mission.  Copy the enclosed .MIX file to your C&C directory, 
  7. and start C&C.  Select the "New Missions" button from the menu, and 
  8. then select the mission name from the list and press OK. Enjoy!  If the
  9. mission does not appear in the list, then move all SC-###.MIX files 
  10. (except the enclosed one) out of the C&C directory into a temp 
  11. directory, and try again.  Because of the ease of use, no savegame is 
  12. enclosed.

  31. Capture the CDI base in the east - do NOT destroy it.

  34. The Story:

  37. The recent appointments to the UN have sparked heated controversy
  38. within GDI.  Almost half of GDI has "seceded" from the UN-controled
  39. GDI, and have set up their own organization.  Calling themselves CDI
  40. (The Corrupted Defense Initiative - we aren't sure if that's supposed
  41. to describe them, or mock us) they have declared two goals:  1) the 
  42. elimination of international terrorism in a effort to preserve freedom,
  43. and 2) The elimination of the traitors in the UN and GDI forces.
  44. Roughly half of the GDI forces in your section (the European continent)
  45. have seceded into CDI. Your objective is to reclaim the CDI base in 
  46. the east.  This base was to be used to attack the NOD base in the north.
  47. Unfortunately, there is a large ridge separating our forces from the CDI
  48. base.  Now we have to set up a new base, destroy the NOD base, and
  49. reclaim the CDI base.  Hopefully CDI might help us a bit by launching
  50. their own attack against NOD.  After all, they clam their first goal
  51. is still the same as ours.  Once NOD has been eliminated, all you have
  52. to do is recapture the CDI base.  IT IS NOT TO BE DESTROYED.  Anymore
  53. then 5 buildings lost will be considered destruction, as will the
  54. destruction of the Construction Yard.  Since we are still unsure of
  55. whether or not all of the traitors have left the GDI forces or if they
  56. are still with us, the building level is still restricted, however, we
  57. have increased it to level 2.  This might not mean much to you, but
  58. it does give somewhat more ablity.  We will be sending you reinforce-
  59. ments consisting of Hum-Vees and engineers occasionally.  Good luck,
